I started to write this in the Summer of 2023, and struggled to finish it by Summer 2024 because unfortunately my mother had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. In between all of the hospital visits, the care my sister and I gave her at home, and trying to work full time and write this novel - it finally was finished in 1st draft at the time of her death. Although she never lived long enough to read it, some of the experiences of dealing with the aftermath of death I have written in this novel.
